On Nov 23, Google announced that the Google Maps Navigation — that at first was only available to Android 2.0 users (Droid users) — is now available to devices running Android 1.6. Google Maps Navigation offers FREE turn-by-turn, voice-guided directions between two points. Google Maps Navigation for Android 1.6 also offers support for more layers. The new application is available for free in the Android Market to customers in the U.S! Download it now!

The journey for me, continues with the Pandora internet radio application for android. Currently the Pandora app occupies the 8th most popular download in the Android market just behind Google maps and Facebook.

This is the screen where i keep the apps I use most that are not necessarily related to the apps on the other screens… The widget has a couple of features that make me feel warm and fuzzy… This is what it looks like when your signed out of the app. Attractive, clean, accessible. Getting root on your phone involves exploiting a security hole that existed in an early version of Android. The versions with the security holes are known as RC19, RC28, and RC29 (or RC7 or lower for UK phones). As of RC30 (RC8 on UK), Google patched the security hole so that your phone can not be rooted (don’t worry, we can still root it!).
